Bennett Lopez offers tailored private lessons for students interested in mastering the oboe and English horn, as well as developing essential skills in reed making, music theory, music history, leadership, and audition preparation.

Oboe and English Horn Lessons
Students will receive individualized instruction focusing on technique, tone production, and repertoire selection. Lessons are designed to enhance both performance skills and musical understanding through personalized coaching.

Reed Making
Learn the art of reed making, an essential skill for double reed players. Students will gain hands-on experience in crafting their own reeds, which will help them develop a deeper connection with their instrument and enhance their overall sound.

Music Theory
Lessons in music theory will cover fundamental concepts such as notation, scales, harmony, and ear training. These lessons aim to strengthen students' abilities to understand and analyze music, fostering greater creativity and improvisation skills.

Music History
Delve into the rich history of music, exploring key composers, styles, and eras. This knowledge will provide a context for the music students perform, deepening their appreciation and understanding of the art form.

Leadership
Emphasis on leadership skills will be integrated into lessons, preparing students to take on roles in ensembles and orchestras. Topics may include effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to inspire and guide peers.

Audition Preparation
For those preparing for auditions, specialized sessions will focus on repertoire selection, performance strategies, and mock auditions. Feedback and guidance will help students develop confidence and polish their audition skills.
